If you were all living in the same isolated subnet and had no other gateways present and the only routes existing were for that subnet, no, you wouldn't need to set it. It is as if something is missing in the DD-WRT config to tell the AP to use the wired LAN connection for traffic on the subnet.Īny help will be greatly appreciated as this is driving me crazy. The problem is while I am connected to the AP via wifi I cannot ping to any other PC on the subnet. Using the guide above, I can connect to SSID 'WLAN2' and get the RT-N12 to assign an IP within the range all right. WLAN 1 = same as our main LAN (192.168.1.x) (SSID WLAN1) I followed the GUI guide and the 'command method for DHCP' as the RT-N12 is used as a Wireless Access Point. I have followed these instructions Opens a new window Using an Asus RT-N12 and DD-WRT (v24-sp2 04/06/10 mini) I am trying to create an additional Wireless LAN SSID on a different subnet.
